In the morning hours on the 14th of April 2018, the United States of America, the United Kingdom, and France once again attacked Syrian government positions without respecting the United Nations Charter, nor any of the UN laws and resolutions that guarantee the territorial integrity of the Syrian Arab Republic and its people.
As a matter of international law, use or threat of force against the territorial integrity or political sovereignty of another country is illegal. This prohibition on the use of force is one of the norms that international lawyers call ‘jus cogens’ (peremptory norms) and has been codified in Article 2(4) of the UN Charter. The customary international law also prohibits States from acquiring territory through aggression or recognizing such acquisitions made by other States.
Unfortunately, this is not the first time the US, UK, and France go outside of the rules of international law to bomb and incite conflicts in third world countries, by giving financial military and political support and aid to terrorists, in that way creating proxy civil wars so they can assert and secure their political and financial interests in a certain region.
Not so long ago to justify their unlawful actions the public through mass media was lied to, about the weapons of mass destruction in Iraq than it was Gaddafy’s tyranny in Lybia, now Assad’s chemical weapons in Syria. I ask you in which of this countries the people live better now than they lived before the West started their global war for freedom and democracy?
And if for you, a country has the full right to bomb another country just because they don’t agree with their state of democracy and freedom, I encourage you to ask yourself this question: Should some countries start now bombing the USA cause they have the most incarcerated people in the world, or cause they have mass school shootings almost every month, or maybe cause their militarized police forces are killing unarmed black people on the streets in the middle of the day. Should some countries start providing political and military aid to radical groups in the US to topple the undemocratic government, or is that going to be seen as a dangerous meddling in the internal affairs of the USA and qualified as an attack from abroad?
Who gave US, UK, and France the right to be the judge the jury and the executioner in providing their own way of justice all over the world, without even the consent of the United Nations?
How many drones killed and are still killing innocent people in Yemen Pakistan Somalia and all over the Middle East?
In how many secret missions JSOC killed and is still killing small kids. pregnant women, unarmed men, even their own citizens?
Why doesn’t a developed western country respects the charter for Human rights that guarantees the freedom and life of every individual?
All this is not about spreading democracy and freedom. It’s about securing political and financial influence wherever the world allows them to do it. In the Deir Ez-Zor region in Eastern Syria, there is a large US base that is located right inside of an oil refinery that now is controlled by Conoco, an oil and gas company with HQ in Houston Texas.
That is the real reason why the west is in Syria.
